Farmer's Market

The La Grange Farmers Market in Kentucky offers a variety of locally produced products. Besides fresh fruits and vegetables there is a vendor who works with wood grown on his property, the "Pepper Man" with his hot pepper relishes and the "Coffee Man" with fresh roasted coffee; roasted on the spot. There are also several booths that offer tempting baked goods. The market is located in downtown historic La Grange with plenty of parking, restaurants and shops. Several art galleries line the main street which is also home to the Oldham County Art Association's Gallery 104.

Arts on the Green

The Oldham County Arts Association organizes the festival that was created in 2001 to showcase fine arts and crafts in the county. It drew only about 15 artists that first year, but now, with the help of word-of-mouth and print advertising, dozens of artists have signed on, some from as far away as California. The show is now juried — artists are chosen to participate based on photographs and slides of their work. They will sell items such as paintings, pottery, glasswork, jewelry and furniture.
